Hadith 7186
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ ، فَأَتَتْهُ بِتَمْرٍ وَسَمْنٍ ، فَقَالَ : " أَعِيدُوا سَمْنَكُمْ فِي سِقَائِهِ ، وَتَمْرَكُمْ فِي وِعَائِهِ ، فَإِنِّي صَائِمٌ " ، ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى نَاحِيَةِ الْبَيْتِ ، فَصَلَّى صَلاةً غَيْرَ مَكْتُوبَةٍ ، وَدَعَا لأُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِهَا ، فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ لِي خُوَيْصَةً ، قَالَ : " مَا هِيَ ؟ " ، قَالَتْ : خُوَيْدِمُكَ أَنَسٌ فَمَا تَرَكَ خَيْرَ آخِرَةٍ وَلا دُنْيَا إِلا دَعَا لِي بِهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْهُ مَالا وَوَلَدًا وَبَارِكْ لَهُ " ، قَالَ : فَإِنِّي لَمِنْ أَكْثَرِ الأَنْصَارِ مَالا ، قَالَ : وَحَدَّثَتْنِي ابْنَتِي أُمَيْنَةُ ، قَالَتْ : قَدْ دُفِنَ لِصُلْبِي إِلَى مَقْدَمِ الْحَجَّاجِ الْبَصْرَةَ بِضْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ وَمِائَةً .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) came to the house of Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her), so she presented dates and ghee to the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Put your ghee back in its container and your dates in their pouch, for I am fasting." Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) went to a corner of the house and performed voluntary prayer there. He called Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) and the members of her household. Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "O Messenger of Allah! I have a special request." The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: "What is it?" She said: "Your humble servant Anas (please pray for him)." Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: So the Prophet (peace be upon him) prayed for every good for me in this world and the Hereafter, and then he said: "O Allah! Grant him wealth and children and bless him in them."
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: In terms of wealth (i.e., land), I was the wealthiest among the Ansar. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) also mentioned that my daughter Amina has told me that before Hajjaj came to Basra, more than one hundred and twenty people from among my children and grandchildren had passed away.
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: In terms of wealth (i.e., land), I was the wealthiest among the Ansar.
