Hadith 7158
أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْعَطَّارُ بِالْبَصْرَةِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ : صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أَبِي الدَّحْدَاحِ وَنَحْنُ شُهُودٌ ، فَأُتِيَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِفَرَسٍ فَرَكِبَهُ ، فَجَعَلَ يَتَوَقَّصُ بِهِ وَنَحْنُ نَسْعَى حَوْلَهُ ، فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَمْ مِنْ عِذْقٍ لأَبِي الدَّحْدَاحِ مُعَلَّقٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the funeral prayer of Sayyiduna Abu Dardaah. We were present there at that time. A horse was brought for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he mounted it. He made it run fast, so we began to run around him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: How many clusters of (fruits) have been hung for Abu Dardaah in Paradise.
