Hadith 7150
أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِي ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ يَعْنِي ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ ، عَنْ مُضَارِبِ بْنِ حَزْنٍ ، قَالَ : بَيْنَا أَنَا أَسِيرُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ إِذَا رَجُلٌ يُكَبِّرُ ، فَأَلْحَقْتُهُ بَعِيرِي ، قُلْتُ : مَنْ هَذَا الْمُكَبِّرُ ؟ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ، قُلْتُ : مَا هَذَا التَّكْبِيرُ ؟ قَالَ : شُكْرًا ، قُلْتُ : عَلَى مَهْ ؟ قَالَ " عَلَى أَنِّي كُنْتُ أَجِيرًا لِبُسْرَةَ بِنْتِ غَزْوَانَ بعُقْبَةِ رِجْلِي ، وَطَعَامِ بَطْنِي ، فَكَانَ الْقَوْمُ إِذَا رَكِبُوا ، سُقْتُ لَهُمْ ، وَإِذَا نَزَلُوا خَدَمْتُهُمْ ، فَزَوَّجَنِيهَا اللَّهُ فَهِيَ امْرَأَتِي الْيَوْمَ ، فَأَنَا إِذَا رَكِبَ الْقَوْمُ رَكِبْتُ ، وَإِذَا نَزَلُوا خُدِمْتُ " .
Mudharib bin Hazn narrates: Once I was traveling at night when someone started saying the takbeer. I reached him on my camel and asked: Who is this person saying the takbeer? He replied: Abu Hurairah. I asked: Why are you saying the takbeer? He replied: Out of gratitude. I asked: For what reason? He said: Because I used to be a servant of a woman named Busrah bint Ghazwan on the condition that she would provide me with clothing and give me food. When people used to travel mounted, I would walk on foot leading their animals, and when they camped, I would serve them. Then Allah Almighty married me to that woman; today she is my wife. Now, when people ride, I also ride, and when people camp, I am served.
