Hadith 7145
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الأَزْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتِ : اسْتَأْذَنَ حَسَّانُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ثَابِتٍ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي هِجَاءِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَيْفَ بِنَسَبِي ؟ " ، قَالَ حَسَّانُ : لأَسُلَنَّكَ مِنْهُمْ كَمَا تُسَلُّ الشَّعْرَةُ مِنَ الْعَجِينِ " .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that Sayyiduna Hassan bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) sought permission from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) to satirize the polytheists. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What will become of my lineage?" Sayyiduna Hassan (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: "I will separate you from them just as a hair is taken out from kneaded dough."
