أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا بْنُ جَنَّادٍ الْحَلَبِي ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، قَالَ : " جَاءَ عَائِشَةَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَسْتَأْذِنُ عَلَيْهَا ، قَالَتْ : لا حَاجَةَ لِي بِهِ ، قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّ14873حْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ : إِنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ مِنْ صَالِحِي بَنِيكِ ، جَاءَكِ يَعُودُكِ ، قَالَتْ : فَأْذَنْ لَهُ ، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا ، فَقَالَ : يَا أُمَّاهُ ، أَبْشِرِي فَوَاللَّهِ مَا بَيْنَكِ وَبَيْنَ أَنْ تَلْقَيْ مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَالأَحِبَّةَ إِلا أَنْ تُفَارِقَ رُوحُكِ جَسَدَكِ ، كُنْتِ أَحَبَّ نِسَاءِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَيْهِ ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ يُحِبُّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلا طَيْبَةً ، قَالَتْ : وَأَيْضًا ، قَالَ : هَلَكَتْ قِلادَتُكِ بِالأَبْوَاءِ ، فَأَصْبَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا مَاءً ، فَتَيَمَّمُوا صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا ، فَكَانَ ذَلِكَ بِسَبَبِكِ وَبَرَكَتِكِ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ لِهَذِهِ الأُمَّةِ مِنَ الرُّخْصَةِ ، فَكَانَ مِنْ أَمْرِ مِسْطَحٍ مَا كَانَ ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ بَرَاءَتَكِ مِنْ فَوْقِ سَبْعِ سَمَاوَاتٍ ، فَلَيْسَ مَسْجِدٌ يُذْكَرُ فِيهِ اللَّهُ إِلا وَشَأْنُكِ يُتْلَى فِيهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَطْرَافَ النَّهَارِ ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ دَعْنِي مِنْكَ وَمِنْ تَزْكِيَتِكَ ، فَوَاللَّهِ لَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّي كُنْتُ نَسْيًا مَنْسِيًّا " .
Ibn Abu Mulaykah narrates: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) came to visit Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). He sought permission to enter. Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I have no need to meet him. Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Ibn Abbas is one of your righteous sons; he has come to visit you, so Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) granted him permission. He entered and said: O mother, glad tidings for you! By Allah, only so much distance remains between you and meeting the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and other beloved people, that your soul departs from your body. Among the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), you were the most beloved to him, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) only loved that which was pure. Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: (Is there any other virtue in me?) So Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: At the place of Abwa, your necklace was lost, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) spent the morning, and the people did not find water, so they performed tayammum with pure earth. This was because of you and your blessing; Allah Almighty revealed this concession for this Ummah. Then there was the incident of Mistah as well; Allah Almighty revealed the command of your exoneration from above the seven heavens. There is no mosque in which Allah Almighty is mentioned except that the verses related to your matter are recited in it day and night. Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Ibn Abbas! Do not praise me so much. By Allah, I wish I were a forgotten thing.
