Hadith 7072
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ فِيَ الْمَنَامِ سَرَقَةً مِنْ حَرِيرٍ لا أَهْوِي بِهَا إِِلَى مَكَانٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ إِِلا طَافَتْ بِي إِِلَيْهِ ، فَقَصَصْتُهَا عَلَى حَفْصَةَ ، فَقَصَّتْهَا حَفْصَةُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِِنَّ أَخَاكَ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ ، أَوْ قَالَ : إِِنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I saw in a dream a garment of silk, and wherever I went in Paradise, it would go with me. I related this incident to Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her). Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) related this incident to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Your brother is a righteous man. (The narrator is in doubt, perhaps these are the words:) The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, Abdullah is a righteous man.
