Hadith 7053
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَرْقَاءُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي يَزِيدَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : أَتَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْخَلاءَ ، فَوَضَعْتُ لَهُ وُضُوءًا ، فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ ، قَالَ : مَنْ وَضَعَ هَذَا ؟ قَالُوا : ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ فَقِّهْهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) went to relieve himself. I placed water for his ablution. When he returned, he asked: Who placed this? The people replied: Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) did. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated: O Allah! Grant him understanding of (the religion of) Islam.
