Hadith 7044
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّامِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْمَقَابِرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ : بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْثًا وَأَمَّرَ عَلَيْهِمْ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ ، فَطَعَنَ بَعْضُ النَّاسِ فِي إِِمْرَتِهِ ، فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " إِِنْ تَطْعَنُوا فِي إِِمْرَتِهِ فَقَدْ كُنْتُمْ تَطْعَنُونَ فِي إِِمْرَةِ أَبِيهِ مِنْ قَبْلُ ، وَأَيْمُ اللَّهِ إِِنْ كَانَ خَلِيقًا لِلإِِمَارَةِ ، وَإِِنْ كَانَ لَمِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِِلَيَّ ، وَإِِنَّ هَذَا لَمِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِِلَيَّ بَعْدَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) dispatched an expedition and appointed Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with them both) as their commander. Some people expressed doubt regarding his leadership, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) stood up and said: If you are expressing doubt about his leadership, then before this you also expressed doubt regarding his father. By Allah, he was worthy of leadership and was the most beloved to me, and after him, this one is the most beloved to me.
Hadith 7045
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَحْيَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ زَيْدُ بْنُ حَارِثَةَ يَشْكُو زَيْنَبَ إِِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمْسِكْ عَلَيْكَ أَهْلَكَ ، فَنَزَلَتْ : وَتُخْفِي فِي نَفْسِكَ مَا اللَّهُ مُبْدِيهِ سورة الأحزاب آية 37 " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyiduna Zaid bin Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him) came and complained to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) about (his wife) Sayyidah Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her). The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Keep your wife with you (i.e., do not divorce her)." So regarding this, the following verse was revealed: "You were concealing within yourself that which Allah was to disclose."
