Hadith 7018
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِِسْحَاقَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ السَّعْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَنْبَسَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي ، يَقُولُ : " أُتِيَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ وَكَانَ صَائِمًا بِطَعَامٍ فَجَعَلَ يَبْكِي ، فَقَالَ : قُتِلَ حَمْزَةُ فَلَمْ يُوجَدْ مَا يُكَفَّنُ فِيهِ إِِلا ثَوْبٌ وَاحِدٌ ، وَقُتِلَ مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ فَلَمْ يُوجَدْ مَا يُكَفَّنُ فِيهِ إِِلا ثَوْبٌ وَاحِدٌ ، وَلَقَدْ خَشِيتُ أَنْ تَكُونَ قَدْ عُجِّلَتْ طَيِّبَاتُنَا فِي حَيَاتِنَا الدُّنْيَا " ، قَالَ : وَجَعَلَ يَبْكِي .
Sa’d bin Ibrahim narrates: I heard my father narrating that food was brought to Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was fasting. He began to weep and said: When Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred, only one cloth was found to shroud him. When Mus’ab bin Umair (may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred, only one cloth was found to shroud him. I fear that now we are receiving our blessings in this worldly life. After that, he began to weep.
