ذكر إثبات الجنة لأبي عبيدة بن الجراح-

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " عَشْرَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ : أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَعُمَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَعُثْمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَعَلِيٌّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَالزُّبَيْرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَطَلْحَةُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَابْنُ عَوْفٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَسَعْدٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَأَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : لَيْسَ ذِكْرُ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ أَنَّهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مَضْمُومًا إِِلَى الْعَشَرَةِ إِِلا فِي هَذَا الْخَبَرِ ، وَهَؤُلاءِ الَّذِينَ ذَكَرْنَاهُمْ مِنْ أَوَّلِ هَذَا النَّوْعِ إِِلَى هَذَا الْمَوْضِعِ هُمْ أَفْضَلُ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَأَنَا أَذْكُرُ بَعْدَ هَؤُلاءِ مَنْ رُوِيَتْ لَهُ فَضِيلَةٌ صَحِيحَةٌ ، وَكَانَ مَوْتُهُ فِي حَيَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِِلَى أَنْ قَبَضَ اللَّهُ جَلَّ وَعَلا رَسُولَهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِِلَى جَنَّتِهِ إِِنْ يَسَّرَ اللَّهُ ذَلِكَ وَشَاءَهُ .
Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ten people are destined for Paradise: Abu Bakr is in Paradise, Umar is in Paradise, Uthman is in Paradise, Ali is in Paradise, Zubair is in Paradise, Talha is in Paradise, Ibn Awf is in Paradise, Sa'd is in Paradise, Sa'id bin Zaid is in Paradise, and Abu Ubaidah bin Jarrah is in Paradise."
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The mention of Abu Ubaidah being destined for Paradise among the ten given glad tidings is mentioned only in this narration. These are the people whose mention we have made at the beginning of this section at this place; they are the most virtuous among the companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Now, after them, I will mention those whose virtues have been transmitted through authentic narrations and who passed away during the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), until Allah, the Exalted, took (the blessed soul of the Prophet Muhammad) and transferred it to Paradise. If Allah, the Exalted, makes this easy and wills (then I will mention them in this manner).
