أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِِسْحَاقَ الثَّقَفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ عُمَرُ ، نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ ، نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ أُسَيْدُ بْنُ حُضَيْرٍ ، نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ ثَابِتُ بْنُ قَيْسِ بْنِ شَمَّاسٍ ، نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ مُعَاذُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْجَمُوحِ ، بِئْسَ الرَّجُلُ فُلانٌ وَفُلانٌ " ، سَمَّاهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَمْ يُسَمِّهِمْ لَنَا سُهَيْلٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Abu Bakr is a good man, Umar is a good man, Abu Ubaidah bin Jarrah is a good man, Usaid bin Hudair is a good man, Thabit bin Qais is a good man, Mu'adh bin Amr is a good man, and so-and-so and so-and-so are bad men." The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned their names, but the narrator Suhail did not state their names.
