Hadith 6994
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : كَانَ بَيْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَخَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ شَيْءٌ ، فَسَبَّهُ خَالِدٌ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا تَسُبُّوا أَحَدًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِي ، فَإِِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لَوْ أَنْفَقَ مِثْلَ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا مَا أَدْرَكَ مُدَّ أَحَدِهِمْ وَلا نَصِيفَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once there was a dispute between Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) over something. Sayyiduna Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) spoke harshly to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Do not speak ill of any of my companions. If any one of you were to spend gold equal to Mount Uhud in charity, it would not reach even a mudd, or even half a mudd, of what they gave.
Hadith 6995
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ ، وَالْجَنَدِيُّ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ ، عَنْ صَخْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، كَانَ يَقُولُ : " إِِنَّ أَمْرَكُنَّ لَمِمَّا يَهُمُّنِي بَعْدِي ، وَلَنْ يَصْبِرَ عَلَيْكُنَّ بَعْدِي إِِلا الصَّابِرُ " ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ تَقُولُ : " فَسَقَى اللَّهُ أَبَاكَ مِنْ سَلْسَبِيلِ الْجَنَّةِ تُرِيدُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ ، وَكَانَ قَدْ وَصَلَ أَزْوَاجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَالٍ بِيعَ بِأَرْبَعِينَ أَلْفًا " .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The matter of you (women) is among those things about which I fear for my ummah after me, and after me, only that person will show patience towards you who is truly patient. The narrator states: Then Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "May Allah give your father to drink from the river Salsabeel in Paradise." By this, Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) meant Abdur Rahman bin Awf. (Lady Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, explained:) He took such care of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that the wealth he gave was worth forty thousand.
