أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَوْضِيُّ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنِ الْحُرِّ بْنِ الصَّيَّاحِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الأَخْنَسِ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَذَكَرَ الْمُغِيرَةُ عَلِيًّا ، فَنَالَ مِنْهُ ، فَقَامَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، فَقَالَ : أَشْهَدُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ ، يَقُولُ : " عَشْرَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ : النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَعُمَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَعُثْمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَعَلِيٌّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَطَلْحَةُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَالزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَسَعْدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَلَوْ شِئْتُ لَسَمَّيْتُ الْعَاشِرَ ، قَالُوا : مَنْ هُوَ ؟ فَسَكَتَ ، فَقَالُوا : مَنْ هُوَ ؟ فَقَالَ : سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ " .
Abdur Rahman bin Akhnas narrates: He was present in the mosque when Mughira mentioned Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and spoke disrespectfully about him. So Sayyiduna Saeed bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and said: I bear witness regarding the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and I say this as a testimony, I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Ten people are destined for Paradise: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is destined for Paradise, Abu Bakr is destined for Paradise, Umar is destined for Paradise, Uthman is destined for Paradise, Ali is destined for Paradise, Talha bin Ubaidullah is destined for Paradise, Zubair bin Al-Awwam is destined for Paradise, Saad bin Malik is destined for Paradise, and Abdur Rahman bin Awf is destined for Paradise." (Then Sayyiduna Saeed bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) said:) If I wish, I can also mention the name of the tenth person. The people asked: Who is he? But he remained silent. The people asked: Who is he? Then he said: Saeed bin Zaid (meaning himself).
