Hadith 6988
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ . وَسُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : " مَا سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَمَعَ أَبَوَيْهِ لأَحَدٍ إِِلا لِسَعْدٍ ، فَإِِنَّهُ قَالَ لَهُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ : ارْمِ فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي " .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I have never heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) combine his parents for anyone except Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him), because on the day of the Battle of Uhud, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: Shoot (arrows), may my parents be sacrificed for you.
