أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ خِرَاشٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَتِيقُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنِي الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ ثَابِتِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ لأَبِيهِ : يَا أَبَتِ ، حَدِّثْنِي عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى أُحَدِّثَ عَنْكَ ، فَإِِنَّ كُلَّ أَبْنَاءِ الصَّحَابَةِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : يَا بُنَيَّ ، مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ صَحِبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِصُحْبَةٍ إِِلا وَقَدْ صَحِبْتُهُ مِثْلَهَا أَوْ أَفْضَلَ ، وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ يَا بُنَيَّ أَنَّ أُمَّكَ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ كَانَتْ تَحْتِي ، وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ خَالَتُكَ ، وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ أُمِّي صَفِيَّةُ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ، وَأَنَّ أَخْوَالِي حَمْزَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَأَبُو طَالِبٍ وَالْعَبَّاسُ ، وَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ابْنُ خَالِي ، وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ عَمَّتِي خَدِيجَةُ بِنْتُ خُوَيْلِدٍ وَكَانَتْ تَحْتَهُ ، وَأَنَّ ابْنَتَهَا فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ أُمَّهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ آمِنَةُ بِنْتُ وَهْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافِ بْنِ زُهْرَةَ ، وَأَنَّ أُمَّ صَفِيَّةَ وَحَمْزَةَ هَالَةُ بِنْتُ وَهْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافِ بْنِ زُهْرَةَ ، وَلَقَدْ صَحِبْتُهُ بِأَحْسَنَ صُحْبَةٍ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ، وَلَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَنْ قَالَ عَلَيَّ مَا لَمْ أَقُلْ فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
Hisham bin Urwah narrates from his father: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with them both) said to his father: O my father, narrate to me a hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) so that I may narrate it from you, because all the children of the noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) narrate hadith from their fathers. So he said: O my son, whoever has spent time in the company of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), I too have spent the same or even more time with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). O my son, you know that your mother Asma bint Abu Bakr was my wife, and you also know that Aisha bint Abu Bakr is your maternal aunt, and you also know that my mother is Safiyyah bint Abdul Muttalib (who is the paternal aunt of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and my uncles are Hamzah bin Abdul Muttalib and Abu Talib, and Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is also my cousin. You also know that Khadijah bint Khuwaylid was my paternal aunt; she was the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and the daughter of Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) is Sayyiduna Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), who is the daughter of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). And you also know that the mother of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is Sayyidah Aminah bint Wahb (may Allah be pleased with her), while (my mother) Sayyidah Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) and (my uncle) Sayyiduna Hamzah (may Allah be pleased with him), their mother is Halah bint Wahb (who is the real maternal aunt of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). So, all praise is due to Allah, I have remained with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in a good manner. I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Whoever attributes to me something which I have not said, let him prepare his abode in the Hellfire."
