أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ بِحَرَّانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي نُعْمٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ وَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ عَنْ شَيْءٍ ، قَالَ شُعْبَةُ : سَأَلَهُ عَنِ الْمُحْرِمِ يَقْتُلُ الذُّبَابَ ؟ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ : يَسْأَلُونِي عَنْ قَتْلِ الذُّبَابِ وَقَدْ قَتَلُوا ابْنَ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هُمَا رَيْحَانَتِي مِنَ الدُّنْيَا " ، ابْنُ أَبِي نُعْمٍ : هُوَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ .
Ibn Abu Nu’aim narrates: I heard Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both). A man asked him about something. The narrator named Shu’bah stated that a man asked him about a person in the state of ihram who kills a fly. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: These people ask me about killing a fly, while they killed the grandson of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: These two (grandsons) are my fragrance in this world.
