Hadith 6947
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ الْخَلالُ بِوَاسِطَ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الصَّرِيفِينِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، قَالَ : " جَهَّزَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاطِمَةَ فِي خَمِيلَةٍ وَوِسَادَةِ أَدَمٍ حَشْوُهَا لِيفٌ " ، قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : الْخَمِيلَةُ : قَطِيفَةٌ بَيْضَاءُ مِنَ الصُّوفِ ، وَصَرِيفِينُ : قَرْيَةٌ بِوَاسِطَ .
Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) gave Lady Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) in her dowry a sheet and a pillow made of leather, which was filled with palm fibers. (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) "Khamila" refers to a white sheet made of wool, and "Sarifeen" is the name of a village in Wasit.
