ذكر الخبر الدال على أن الخليفة بعد عثمان بن عفان كان علي بن أبي طالب رضوان الله عليهما ورحمته وقد فعل-

Hadith 6943
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُمْهَانَ ، عَنْ سَفِينَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " الْخِلافَةُ بَعْدِي ثَلاثُونَ سَنَةً ، ثُمَّ تَكُونُ مُلْكًا " ، قَالَ : أَمْسِكْ خِلافَةَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ سَنَتَيْنِ ، وَعُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَشْرًا ، وَعُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ ، وَعَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ سِتًّا ، قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ : قُلْتُ لِحَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ : سَفِينَةُ الْقَائِلُ : أَمْسِكْ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ .
Sayyiduna Safinah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "After me, the Caliphate will last for 30 years, then there will be monarchy." (The narrator says) If you count the Caliphate of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) as two years, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) as ten years, Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) as twelve years, and Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) as six years, (this makes a total of 30 years). Ali bin Ziyad says: I asked Hammad bin Salamah: Are these words "if you count" from Sayyiduna Safinah (may Allah be pleased with him)? He replied: Yes.
