Hadith 6887
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّامِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْمَقَابِرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : وَأَخْبَرَنِي حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ ، فَإِِذَا أَنَا بِقَصْرٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ، فَقُلْتُ : لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ ؟ فَقَالُوا : لِشَابٍّ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ ، فَظَنَنْتُ أَنِّي أَنَا هُوَ ، فَقُلْتُ : وَمَنْ هُوَ ؟ قَالُوا : عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "I entered Paradise and there was a palace made of gold. I inquired: Whose palace is this? The angels replied: It belongs to a man from the Quraysh. I thought that person would be me, so I asked: Who is that person? They replied: Umar bin Khattab."
