Hadith 6872
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَوْنٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَرْوَانَ الْعُثْمَانَيُّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ أبيه ، قَالَ : أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ امْرَأَةٌ فَكَلَّمَتْهُ فِي شَيْءٍ ، فَأَمَرَهَا أَنْ تَرْجِعَ إِِلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَرَأَيْتَ إِِنْ رَجَعْتُ فَلَمْ أَجِدْكَ كَأَنَّهَا تَعْنِي الْمَوْتَ ؟ قَالَ : " فَإِِنْ لَمْ تَجِدِينِي ، فَائْتِ أَبَا بَكْرٍ " .
Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A woman came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). She discussed something with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed her to come to him again. She said: O Messenger of Allah! What do you think, if I come again and do not find you? The woman meant, if you have passed away (then what should I do)? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If you do not find me, then go to Abu Bakr.
