Hadith 6852
أَخْبَرَنَا الْخَلِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ ابْنِ بِنْتِ تَمِيمِ بْنِ الْمُنْتَصِرِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ بَيَانٍ السُّكَّرِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ بَيَانِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ مِرْدَاسٍ الأَسْلَمِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " يُقْبَضُ الصَّالِحُونَ أَسْلافًا ، وَيُفْنَى الصَّالِحُونَ الأَوَّلُ فَالأَوَّلُ ، حَتَّى لا يَبْقَى إِِلا مِثْلُ حُثَالَةِ التَّمْرِ وَالشَّعِيرِ لا يُبَالِي اللَّهُ بِهِمْ " .
Sayyiduna Mirdas Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "The righteous people will be taken (from the world) as predecessors, and the righteous will perish one by one, until only such people will remain who will be like the useless and worthless husks of dates. Allah Almighty will not care about them."
