Hadith 6844
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad, the Hour will not come until immorality and miserliness become widespread. The trustworthy person will be considered treacherous, and the treacherous person will be made trustworthy. The 'Da'ul' will be destroyed and 'Tahut' will become common." The people asked: "O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by 'Da'ul' and 'Tahut'?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "'Da'ul' refers to the elders and respected people among the people, and 'Tahut' refers to those people who remain under the feet of the people and are not known about." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) Sa'id bin Jubair heard ahadith from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) at a time when he was ten years old.
