Hadith 6821
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ آدَمَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " الأَنْبِيَاءُ كُلُّهُمْ إِِخْوَةٌ لِعَلاتٍ ، أُمَّهَاتُهُمْ شَتَّى وَدِينُهُمْ وَاحِدٌ ، وَأَنَا أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ ، إِِنَّهُ لَيْسَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ نَبِيٌّ ، وَإِِنَّهُ نَازِلٌ ، إِِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُ فَاعْرِفُوهُ : رَجُلٌ مَرْبُوعٌ إِِلَى الْحُمْرَةِ وَالْبَيَاضِ بَيْنَ مُمَصَّرَيْنِ كَأَنَّ رَأْسَهُ يَقْطُرُ وَإِِنْ لَمْ يُصِبْهُ بَلَلٌ ، فَيُقَاتِلُ النَّاسَ عَلَى الإِِسْلامِ ، فَيَدُقُّ الصَّلِيبَ ، وَيَقْتُلُ الْخِنْزِيرَ ، وَيَضَعُ الْجِزْيَةَ ، وَيُهْلِكُ اللَّهُ فِي زَمَانِهِ الْمِلَلَ كُلَّهَا إِِلا الإِِسْلامَ ، وَيُهْلِكُ الْمَسِيحَ الدَّجَّالَ ، وَتَقَعُ الأَمَنَةُ فِي الأَرْضِ حَتَّى تَرْتَعَ الأُسْدُ مَعَ الإِِبِلِ ، وَالنِّمَارُ مَعَ الْبَقَرِ ، وَالذِّئَابُ مَعَ الْغَنَمِ ، وَيَلْعَبَ الصِّبْيَانُ بِالْحَيَّاتِ لا تَضُرُّهُمْ ، فَيَمْكُثُ فِي الأَرْضِ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً ، ثُمَّ يُتَوَفَّى ، فَيُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ الْمُسْلِمُونَ ، صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "All the Prophets are paternal brothers; their mothers are different, but their religion is one. And among the people, I am the closest to ‘Isa ibn Maryam, because there is no Prophet between me and him. He will descend, and when you see him, you will recognize him: he is a man of reddish-white complexion, of medium height, and it will seem as if drops of water are falling from his head, though it will not be wet. He will fight the people for Islam, he will break the cross, kill the swine, and abolish the jizya. Allah, the Exalted, will destroy all religions except Islam during his time, and He will destroy the Masih al-Dajjal. Peace will be established on the earth, so much so that lions will graze with camels, leopards with cows, wolves with sheep, and children will play with snakes, and they will not harm them. Sayyiduna ‘Isa (peace be upon him) will remain on the earth for forty years, then he will pass away, and the Muslims will perform his funeral prayer. May Allah's blessings descend upon him."
