Hadith 6790
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin Asid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was in an upper room and we were beneath it. Then, during that time, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked down and asked: "What are you people talking about?" We replied: "We are mentioning the Day of Judgment." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It will not come until ten signs appear before it: the rising of the sun from the west, the Dajjal, the smoke, the descent of Sayyiduna Isa bin Maryam, the Beast of the Earth, the emergence of Gog and Magog, the sinking of the earth in the east, the sinking of the earth in the west, the sinking of the earth in the Arabian Peninsula, and a fire which will emerge from such-and-such a place." (The narrator says:) "I think these words are also in the narration: That fire will rest with them wherever they rest, and it will encamp with them wherever they encamp."
The narrator named Shu’bah states: This same narration is also transmitted with another chain from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin Asid (may Allah be pleased with him) in a similar manner, however, with this chain it is not transmitted as a marfu’ (directly attributed to the Prophet) hadith.
