Hadith 6777
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ بِدِمَشْقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَرْطَاةُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي ضَمْرَةُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَلَمَةَ بْنَ نُفَيْلٍ السَّكُونِيَّ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يُوحَى إِِلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : " إِِنِّي غَيْرُ لابِثٍ فِيكُمْ ، وَلَسْتُمْ لابِثِينَ بَعْدِي إِِلا قَلِيلا ، وَسَتَأْتُونِي أَفْنَادًا ، يُفْنِي بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا ، وَبَيْنَ يَدَيِ السَّاعَةِ مَوْتَانٌ شَدِيدٌ ، وَبَعْدَهُ سَنَوَاتُ الزَّلازِلِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Ubaidah bin Jarrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Every prophet before me has warned his people about the Dajjal, and I am also warning you about him." The narrator says: Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) described his appearance before us. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "It is possible that someone may reach him who has seen me, or has heard my speech." The people said: "O Messenger of Allah! On that day, will our hearts be like they are today?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "They will be even better than today."
