Hadith 6763
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلاءِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُغَفَّلِ ابْنًا لَهُ ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : اللَّهُمَّ إِِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْقَصْرَ الأَبْيَضَ عَنْ يَمِينِ الْجَنَّةِ ، قَالَ : يَا بُنَيَّ ، إِِذَا سَأَلْتَ ، فَاسْأَلِ اللَّهَ الْجَنَّةَ ، وَتَعَوَّذْ بِهِ مِنَ النَّارِ ، فَإِِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " يَكُونُ فِي آخِرِ الزَّمَانِ قَوْمٌ يَعْتَدُونَ فِي الدُّعَاءِ وَالطُّهُورِ " .
It is narrated about Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard one of his sons saying in supplication: "O Allah! I ask You that when I enter Paradise, I am granted a white palace on the right side of Paradise." So Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O my son, ask Allah for Paradise and seek His protection from Hellfire. I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: 'Soon there will come people in this Ummah who will exceed the limits in supplication and in purification.'"
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) This narration has been heard by Jariri from Yazid bin Abdullah and from Abu Na’ama, so both these chains are preserved.
