Hadith 6711
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدٌ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَتَقَارَبُ الزَّمَانُ ، وَيَنْقُصُ الْعِلْمُ ، وَتَظْهَرُ الْفِتَنُ ، وَيُلْقَى الشُّحُّ ، وَيَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ " ، قَالُوا : وَمَا الْهَرْجُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " الْقَتْلُ ، الْقَتْلُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The destruction of my Ummah will be through the foolish youths of the Quraysh."
(The narrator states: Upon hearing this hadith of Sayyiduna Abu Huraira, Marwan said: These youths are the very people (who are the rulers of today).)
