Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Before the Day of Judgment, there will be 'Harj'." The people asked: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! What is meant by 'Harj'?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Killing and bloodshed." The people said: "Will it be more than what we have killed?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is not your killing of the polytheists, rather it will be killing one another." The people asked: "(At that time) will our intellects remain with us?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The intellects of the people of that time will be taken away."
