Hadith 6694
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَمْدَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى التُّسْتَرِيُّ بِعَبَّدَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يُوشِكُ الْفُرَاتُ أَنْ يَحْسِرَ عَنْ كَنْزٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ، فَمَنْ حَضَرَهُ فَلا يَأْخُذْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا " .
This narration is also transmitted with another chain of narration from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, however, in it are these words: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It will reveal a mountain of gold."
Hadith 6695
حَدَّثَنَاهُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَمْدَانَ ، فِي عَقِبِهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الأَشَجُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِثْلَهُ إِِلا أَنَّهُ ، قَالَ : " يَحْسِرُ عَنْ جَبَلٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ " .
Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Hour will not be established until the river Euphrates uncovers a mountain of gold, over which people will fight, and out of every ten, nine will be killed."
