Hadith 6688
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، أَنَّ بَكْرَ بْنَ سَوَادَةَ حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ يَزِيدَ بْنَ رَبَاحٍ حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : إِِذَا فُتِحَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ خَزَائِنُ فَارِسَ وَالرُّومِ ، أَيُّ قَوْمٍ أَنْتُمْ ؟ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ : نَكُونُ كَمَا أَمَرَنَا اللَّهُ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَتَنَافَسُونَ ، ثُمَّ تَتَحَاسَدُونَ ، ثُمَّ تَتَدَابَرُونَ ، ثُمَّ تَتَبَاغَضُونَ ، ثُمَّ تَنْطَلِقُونَ إِِلَى مَسَاكِينِ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ ، فَتَحْمِلُونَ بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَى رِقَابِ بَعْضٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates this statement of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "When Kisra dies, there will be no Kisra after him. When Caesar dies, there will be no Caesar after him. By the One in Whose hand is my soul, you will surely spend their treasures in the way of Allah."
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The statement of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, "When Kisra dies, there will be no Kisra after him," by this he meant his land, which is the land of Iraq. The statement of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, "When Caesar dies, there will be no Caesar after him," by this he meant that in his land this will not happen, and that land is Sham (Greater Syria). This does not mean that after them there will be no Kisra or Caesar at all.
