Hadith 6685
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَرْحُومُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، قَالَ : رَكِبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِمَارًا وَأَرْدَفَنِي خَلْفَهُ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ ، " أَرَأَيْتَ إِِنْ أَصَابَ النَّاسَ جُوعٌ شَدِيدٌ حَتَّى لا تَسْتَطِيعَ أَنْ تَقُومَ مِنْ فِرَاشِكَ إِِلَى مَسْجِدِكَ ، كَيْفَ تَصْنَعُ ؟ قَالَ : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ : تَعَفَّفْ " ، قَالَ : يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ ، " أَرَأَيْتَ إِِنْ أَصَابَ النَّاسَ مَوْتٌ شَدِيدٌ حَتَّى يَكُونَ الْبَيْتُ بِالْعَبْدِ ، كَيْفَ تَصْنَعُ ؟ قَالَ : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ : اصْبِرْ " ، يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ ، " أَرَأَيْتَ إِِنْ قَتَلَ النَّاسُ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا حَتَّى تَغْرَقَ حِجَارَةُ الزَّيْتِ مَوْضِعٌ بِالْمَدِينَةِ مِنَ الدِّمَاءِ ، كَيْفَ تَصْنَعُ ؟ قَالَ : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ : اقْعُدْ فِي بَيْتِكَ ، وَأَغْلِقْ عَلَيْكَ بَابَكَ ، قَالَ : أَرَأَيْتَ إِِنْ لَمْ أُتْرَكْ ؟ قَالَ : فَائْتِ مَنْ أَنْتَ مِنْهُ ، فَكُنْ فِيهِمْ ، قَالَ : فَآخُذُ سِلاحِي ؟ قَالَ : إِِذًا تُشَارِكُهُمْ فِيهِ ، وَلَكِنْ إِِنْ خَشِيتَ أَنْ يَرُوعَكَ شُعَاعُ السَّيْفِ ، فَأَلْقِ طَرَفَ رِدَائِكَ عَلَى وَجْهِكَ يَبُوءُ بِإِِثْمِكَ وَإِِثْمِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Abu Talib became ill and the Quraysh came to visit him. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also came to visit him. Near his bedside, there was a place for a man to sit. Abu Jahl got up and sat there. Those people complained to Abu Talib about the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and said: "Your nephew criticizes our gods." Abu Talib said: "O my nephew, what is the reason that the people of your tribe are complaining about you?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "O uncle! I want to unite them on one word, because of which the Arabs will be subservient to them and the non-Arabs will pay them jizya." They asked: "What is that word?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "La ilaha illallah (There is no god but Allah)." So those people stood up and said: "Do you want to make all the gods into one god?" The narrator says: So regarding this, this verse was revealed: " Saad. By the Qur'an, full of reminder." up to " Indeed, this is a very astonishing thing."
