Ibn Hibban

Abu Nadrah reports: We were present with Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both). He said: Soon the situation in Iraq will be such that not a single qafeez (measure of grain) or a single dirham will come to them. We asked: For what reason will this happen? He said: This will be because of the non-Arabs; they will not let it come. Then he said: Soon the situation of the people of Sham will be such that not a single dinar or a single mudd (measure) will come to them. We asked: From whom will this be? He replied: This will be because of the Romans. Then he remained silent for a while, then he said: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In the last part of my Ummah, there will be a caliph who will give handfuls of wealth without counting."
