Hadith 6677
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هَانِئٍ حُمَيْدُ بْنُ هَانِئٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيَّ ، وَعَمْرَو بْنَ حُرَيْثٍ ، يَقُولانِ : إِِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِِنَّكُمْ سَتَقْدِمُونَ عَلَى قَوْمٍ جَعْدٍ رُءُوسُهُمْ ، فَاسْتَوْصُوا بِهِمْ ، فَإِِنَّهُ قُوَّةٌ لَكُمْ وَبَلاغٌ إِِلَى عَدُوِّكُمْ بِإِِذْنِ اللَّهِ " ، يَعْنِي قِبْطَ مِصْرَ .
Sayyiduna Haritha bin Wahb Khuzai (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Give charity, for soon a time will come upon you when a person will go out with his charity but will not find anyone who will accept it from him. That person will say: Why did you not come before today? Today, I have no need for this charity."
