Hadith 6674
Sayyiduna Awf bin Malik Ashja'i (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: On the occasion of the Battle of Tabuk, I presented myself before the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He was in a tent made of leather. I sat at the edge of it. I greeted him with salam, and he replied to my salam. He said: O Awf, come inside. I asked: All of me? The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: All of you. I entered inside and found him performing ablution slowly and calmly. Then he said: O Awf, remember six things that will happen before the Day of Judgment. One of them is my death. Awf narrates: Hearing this, I was shocked. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Say: One. I said: One. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Bayt al-Maqdis will be conquered, then a disease will spread among you, then wealth will increase among you to the extent that if one of you is given a hundred dirhams, he will still be displeased, then a tribulation will appear among you such that no house of a believer will remain except that the tribulation will enter it, then there will be a truce between you and Banu Asfar (i.e., the Romans), but they will break the treaty with you, then they will gather against you under eighty flags, under each flag will be twelve thousand men.
