باب إخباره صلى الله عليه وسلم عما يكون في أمته من الفتن والحوادث - ذكر الإخبار عن قدر ما بقي من هذه الدنيا في جنب ما خلا منها-

Hadith 6639
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّامِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْمَقَابِرِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : وَأَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِِنَّمَا أَجَلُكُمْ فِي أَجَلِ مَنْ خَلا مِنَ الأُمَمِ ، كَمَا بَيْنَ صَلاةِ الْعَصْرِ إِِلَى مَغَارِبِ الشَّمْسِ ، وَإِِنَّمَا مَثَلُكُمْ وَمَثَلُ الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى كَرَجُلٍ اسْتَعْمَلَ عُمَّالا ، فَقَالَ : مَنْ يَعْمَلُ لِي إِِلَى نِصْفِ النَّهَارِ عَلَى قِيرَاطٍ قِيرَاطٍ ؟ قَالَ : فَعَمِلَتِ الْيَهُودُ إِِلَى نِصْفِ النَّهَارِ عَلَى قِيرَاطٍ قِيرَاطٍ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : مَنْ يَعْمَلُ لِي مِنْ نِصْفِ النَّهَارِ إِِلَى صَلاةِ الْعَصْرِ عَلَى قِيرَاطٍ قِيرَاطٍ ؟ قَالَ : فَعَمِلَتِ النَّصَارَى مِنْ نِصْفِ النَّهَارِ إِِلَى صَلاةِ الْعَصْرِ عَلَى قِيرَاطٍ قِيرَاطٍ ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ أَنْتُمُ الَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ مِنْ صَلاةِ الْعَصْرِ إِِلَى مَغَارِبِ الشَّمْسِ عَلَى قِيرَاطَيْنِ قِيرَاطَيْنِ ، قَالَ : فَغَضِبَتِ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى ، وَقَالُوا : نَحْنُ كُنَّا أَكْثَرَ عَمَلا وَأَقَلَّ عَطَاءً ، قَالَ : هَلْ ظَلَمْتُكُمْ مِنْ حَقِّكُمْ شَيْئًا ؟ قَالُوا : لا ، قَالَ : فَإِِنَّهُ فَضْلِي أُوتِيهِ مَنْ أَشَاءُ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "I and the Hour have been sent like this." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) indicated this by gesturing with his two fingers. The narrator states: Qatadah said this. It is as if one has superiority over the other.
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) There is a possibility that the statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "I and the Hour have been sent like these two," means that I and the Hour have been sent like the forefinger and the middle finger, that is, there will be no other prophet between me and the Hour, because I am the last prophet and the Hour will be established upon my Ummah.
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) There is a possibility that the statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "I and the Hour have been sent like these two," means that I and the Hour have been sent like the forefinger and the middle finger, that is, there will be no other prophet between me and the Hour, because I am the last prophet and the Hour will be established upon my Ummah.
