Hadith 6636
أَخْبَرَنَا
أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا
أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا
جَرِيرٌ ، عَنِ
الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ
شَقِيقٍ ، عنْ
حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ : " قَامَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَمَا تَرَكَ شَيْئًا يَكُونُ فِي مَقَامِهِ إِِلَى أَنْ تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ إِِلا حَدَّثَ بِهِ ، حَفِظَهُ مَنْ حَفِظَهُ ، وَنَسِيَهُ مَنْ نَسِيَهُ ، قَدْ عَلِمَهُ أَصْحَابِي هَؤُلاءِ ، وَإِِنَّهُ لَيَكُونُ الرَّجُلُ مِنْهُ الشَّيْءُ قَدْ نَسِيَهُ ، فَأَرَاهُ فَأَذْكُرُهُ كَمَا يَذْكُرُ الرَّجُلُ وَجْهَ الرَّجُلِ إِِذَا غَابَ عَنْهُ ، فَإِِذَا رَآهُ عَرَفَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up and informed us about everything that was to happen from our time until the Day of Resurrection. (Sayyiduna Hudhayfah says:) I am not telling you that I was alone; there were other people with me as well. Among them, whoever was to remember it, remembered it, and whoever was to forget it, forgot it.
