Hadith 6610
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِِدْرِيسَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لا يَقْسِمُ وَرَثَتِي دِينَارًا ، مَا تَرَكْتُ بَعْدَ نَفَقَةِ نِسَائِي ، وَمَئُونَةِ عَامِلِي ، فَهُوَ صَدَقَةٌ " .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, his wives intended to send Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) to Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) so that they could demand their inheritance from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). So Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said to them: Did the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) not say: "We (the Prophets) do not leave inheritance; whatever we leave behind is charity."
