Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When this verse was revealed: "And warn your close relatives," the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) stood up and said: O Fatimah, daughter of Muhammad (peace be upon him), O Safiyyah, daughter of Abdul Muttalib, O children of Abdul Muttalib! I do not possess anything for you against Allah, but you may ask me for whatever you want from my wealth.

Saeed bin Musayyib and Abu Salamah have narrated this. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: When this verse was revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "And warn your closest relatives," the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Quraysh, save your souls from Allah; I cannot avail you against Allah in any way. O Banu Abd al-Muttalib, I cannot avail you against Allah in any way. O Abbas bin Abd al-Muttalib, I cannot avail you against Allah in any way. O Safiyyah, the aunt of Allah’s Messenger, I cannot avail you against Allah in any way. O Fatimah, daughter of Muhammad! Ask me for whatever you wish of my wealth, but I cannot avail you against Allah in any way.
