Hadith 6539
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ إِِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَحَانَتْ صَلاةُ الْعَصْرِ ، وَالْتَمَسَ النَّاسُ الْوَضُوءَ ، فَلَمْ يَجِدُوهُ ، فَأُتِيَ بِوَضُوءٍ ، " فَوَضَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ الإِِنَاءِ ، وَأَمَرَ النَّاسَ أَنْ يَتَوَضَّئُوا مِنْهُ ، فَرَأَيْتُ الْمَاءَ يَنْبُعُ مِنْ تَحْتِ أَصَابِعِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَتَوَضَّأَ النَّاسُ حَتَّى تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ عِنْدِ آخِرِهِمْ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) when the time for the Asr prayer had come and people were searching for water for ablution but could not find any. Then some water for ablution was brought. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his blessed hand in that vessel and instructed the people to begin performing ablution from it. I saw water gushing forth from beneath the fingers of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The people performed ablution until all of them had completed their ablution.
