Hadith 6523
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ السَّامِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ الأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي عَامِرٍ إِِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَأَنَّهُ يُدَاوِي وَيُعَالِجُ ، فَقَالَ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ ، إِِنَّكَ تَقُولُ أَشْيَاءً ، هَلْ لَكَ أَنْ أُدَاوِيَكَ ؟ ، قَالَ : فَدَعَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِِلَى اللَّهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " هَلْ لَكَ أَنْ أُرِيَكَ آيَةً " ، وَعِنْدَهُ نَخْلٌ وَشَجَرٌ ، فَدَعَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِذْقًا مِنْهَا ، فَأَقْبَلَ إِِلَيْهِ وَهُوَ يَسْجُدُ ، وَيَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ وَيَسْجُدُ ، وَيَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِِلَيْهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَامَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : ارْجِعْ إِِلَى مَكَانِكَ ، فَقَالَ الْعَامِرِيُّ : وَاللَّهِ لا أُكَذِّبُكَ بِشَيْءٍ تَقُولُهُ أَبَدًا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : يَا آلَ عَامِرِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ ، وَاللَّهِ لا أُكَذِّبُهُ بِشَيْءٍ " ، قَالَ : وَالْعِذْقُ : النَّخْلَةُ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A man from the tribe of Banu Amir came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). That man used to give medicine and treat people. He said: O Muhammad (peace be upon him), you have some ideas—are you interested that I give you some medicine? (Meaning, if your mental state is not right, I will give you medicine for it.) The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) invited that man towards Allah, then the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Are you interested that I show you a sign? At that time, there was a date-palm tree and another tree near that man. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) called the date-palm tree towards himself. It came towards the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), sometimes prostrating, sometimes raising its head, sometimes prostrating, sometimes raising its head, and it reached the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and stood in front of him. Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said to it: Go back to your place. So the man from the tribe of Banu Amir said: By Allah! Now I will never consider you a liar in any matter that you state. Then that man said: O descendants of Amir bin Sa’sa’ah, by Allah! I will never deny any of his statements.
