Sayyiduna Abu Humayd Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We set out with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) towards Tabuk. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) reached Wadi al-Qura, there was a woman present in her orchard. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Estimate (the yield of this orchard),” so the people estimated that its yield would be ten wasqs. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to the woman: “Whatever its yield is, count it, we will return to you.” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) departed from there until he reached Tabuk. He said: “Tonight a strong wind will blow upon you. No one should stand in this wind. Whoever has a camel should tie its rope.” When the strong wind blew, no one stood in it except one man. The wind threw him onto Mount Tay.
The narrator says: The ruler of Aylah came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and presented a white mule as a gift. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave him his cloak to wear. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) returned and reached Wadi al-Qura, he asked the woman: “How much yield did your orchard produce?” She replied: “Ten wasqs.” This was exactly as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had estimated. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “I wish to go quickly. Whoever among you wishes to go quickly with me, let him do so.” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) set out, and when he neared Madinah, he said: “This is Taybah” (the narrator is unsure, perhaps these are the words), “this is Tabah.” When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw Mount Uhud, he said: “This mountain loves us and we love it.” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Shall I not tell you about the best households among the Ansar?” The people said: “Yes, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)!” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The best household among the Ansar is Banu Najjar. Shall I not tell you about those after them?” The people said: “Yes, O Messenger of Allah.” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “(After them) Banu Sa’idah and Banu Harith bin Khazraj.”
