Hadith 6500
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْبَزَّارُ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي إِِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَقِيلِ بْنِ مَعْقِلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّهُمْ غَزَوْا غَزْوَةً بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ ، فَهَاجَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحٌ شَدِيدَةٌ ، حَتَّى وَقَعَتِ الرِّحَالُ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هَذَا لِمَوْتِ مُنَافِقٍ " ، قَالَ : فَرَجَعْنَا إِِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ ، فَوَجَدْنَا مُنَافِقًا عَظِيمَ النِّفَاقِ مَاتَ يَوْمَئِذٍ .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates: Once, he participated in a battle between Makkah and Madinah, and a very strong wind blew upon them, to the extent that saddles began to fall. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "This is a sign of the death of a hypocrite." The narrator says: When we returned to Madinah, we found out that on that day, a great hypocrite had died.
