Hadith 6486
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ رَاكِبٌ عَلَى بَقَرَةٍ ، الْتَفَتَتْ إِِلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَتْ : إِِنِّي لَمْ أُخْلَقْ لِهَذَا ، إِِنَّمَا خُلِقْتُ لِلْحِرَاثَةِ " ، قَالَ : " آمَنْتُ بِهِ أَنَا وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ ، وَعُمَرُ . وَأَخَذَ الذِّئْبُ شَاةً ، فَتَبِعَهَا الرَّاعِي ، فَقَالَ الذِّئْبُ : مَنْ لَهَا يَوْمَ السَّبْعِ ، يَوْمَ لا رَاعِيَ لَهَا غَيْرِي " ، فَقَالَ : صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " آمَنْتُ بِهِ أَنَا وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ ، وَعُمَرُ " ، قَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ : وَمَا هُمَا يَوْمَئِذٍ فِي الْقَوْمِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Once a man rode a cow, so the cow turned towards him and said: I have not been created for this purpose; I have been created for farming." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I, Abu Bakr, and Umar believe in this." Once a wolf caught a goat. The shepherd chased after it. The wolf said: "Who will protect it on the day reserved for predators, when there will be no guardian for them except me?" Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I, Abu Bakr, and Umar believe in this (i.e., have faith in it)." The narrator named Abu Salamah says: On that day, both of these gentlemen were not present among those present.
