Hadith 6450
Sayyiduna Utbah bin Abdus Salmi رضي الله عنه narrates: A Bedouin stood before the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. He asked: How large is the Hawd (Pond) about which you صلى الله عليه وسلم are speaking? The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم replied: It is as large as the distance between Sana’a and Busra. Then Allah Almighty will increase its depth for me, and no one knows what it is made from and where its other edge is. The narrator says: Then Sayyiduna Umar رضي الله عنه said Takbeer. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: As for the Hawd, there will be a crowd of poor emigrants upon it, those who were martyred in the way of Allah and those who passed away striving in the way of Allah. I hope that Allah Almighty will take me to it, and I will drink from it.
