Hadith 6420
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Sayyiduna Sulaiman bin Dawood (peace be upon them) asked Allah Almighty for three things. Allah Almighty granted him two of those things, and I hope that Allah Almighty also granted him the third. He asked Allah Almighty for such a kingdom that no one after him would have the like of it, so Allah Almighty granted him that. And he asked Allah Almighty for the ability to judge according to Allah's decision, so Allah Almighty granted him that as well. He prayed to Allah Almighty that whoever comes to this House (the Prophet, peace be upon him, meant Bayt al-Maqdis) with the sole intention of offering prayer there, then that person would come out of his sins as on the day his mother gave birth to him. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: I hope that Allah Almighty also granted him this third thing."
