Hadith 6410
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : نَزَلَتْ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لِيَغْفِرَ لَكَ اللَّهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ سورة الفتح آية 2 ، مَرْجِعَهُ مِنَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَدْ أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيَّ آيَةٌ أَحَبُّ إِِلَيَّ مِمَّا عَلَى ظَهْرِ الأَرْضِ " ، فَقَرَأَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ ، فَقَالُوا : هَنِيًّا مَرِيًّا يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ، قَدْ بَيَّنَ اللَّهُ لَكَ مَاذَا يَفْعَلُ بِكَ ، فَمَا يَفْعَلُ بِنَا ؟ فَنَزَلَ عَلَيْهِ : لِيُدْخِلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ سورة الفتح آية 5 ، حَتَّى فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا سورة النساء آية 73 .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: This verse was revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "So that Allah may forgive you your past and future sins." This verse was revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on the occasion of his return from Hudaybiyyah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A verse has been revealed to me which is more beloved to me than everything on the face of the earth." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited this verse before the people. The people said: "O Messenger of Allah! Congratulations to you, congratulations to you. Allah has made clear to you what He will do with you, but what will He do with us (this we do not know)." Then this verse was revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "So that Allah may admit the believing men and believing women to Gardens beneath which rivers flow." This verse is up to: "the great success."
