Hadith 6405
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّامِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْمَقَابِرِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ السَّمَّانِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُ الأَنْبِيَاءِ مِنْ قَبْلِي كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ بَنَى بُنْيَانًا ، فَأَحْسَنَهُ وَكَمَّلَهُ إِِلا مَوْضِعَ لَبِنَةٍ مِنْ زَاوِيَةٍ مِنْ زَوَايَاهُ ، فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَطُوفُونَ بِهِ ، وَيَعْجَبُونَ ، وَيَقُولُونَ : هَلا وَضَعْتَ هَذِهِ اللَّبِنَةَ ؟ ، قَالَ : فَأَنَا تِلْكَ اللَّبِنَةُ ، وَأَنَا خَاتَمُ النَّبِيِّينَ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates: The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The example of me and the prophets before me is like a person who built a building and constructed it excellently; he completed it but left the place of one brick in a corner. People walk around the building, admire it, and say: Why was this brick not placed? The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said: I am that brick, I am the one who completes the series of prophets. May Allah send blessings upon them."
