Hadith 6404
أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ بِالْفُسْطَاطِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : وَأَخْبَرَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى بْنِ هِلالٍ السُّلَمِيِّ ، عَنِ الْعِرْبَاضِ بْنِ سَارِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِِنِّي عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مَكْتُوبٌ بِخَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّينَ ، وَإِِنَّ آدَمَ لَمُنْجَدِلٌ فِي طِينَتِهِ ، وَسَأُخْبِرُكُمْ بِأَوَّلِ ذَلِكَ : دَعْوَةُ أَبِي إِِبْرَاهِيمَ ، وَبِشَارَةُ عِيسَى ، وَرُؤْيَا أُمِّيَ الَّتِي رَأَتْ حِينَ وَضَعَتْنِي أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ مِنْهَا نُورٌ أَضَاءَتْ لَهَا مِنْهُ قُصُورُ الشَّامِ " .
Sayyiduna ‘Irbad bin Sariyah Fazari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “I was written as the Seal of the Prophets in the presence of Allah Almighty at a time when Adam (peace be upon him) was still being shaped from clay. And soon I will tell you about its beginning: (I am) the result of the supplication of my forefather Ibrahim (peace be upon him), the glad tidings given by ‘Isa (peace be upon him), and the dream seen by my mother when she gave birth to me—that a light emerged from her body by which the palaces of Syria were illuminated.”
