Hadith 6396
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، وَأَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : قُلْنَا لأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ : " أَيُّ اللِّبَاسِ كَانَ أَحَبَّ إِِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : الْحِبَرَةُ " ، قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : أَيُّ اللِّبَاسِ كَانَ أَعْجَبَ .
Qatadah reports: We asked Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), "Which type of clothing was most beloved to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?" He replied: "Habrah (that is, a specific type of Yemeni sheet)." Abu Ya'la has narrated these words: "Which clothing looked best to him."
