Hadith 6395
أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " لَبِسَ بُرْدَةً سَوْدَاءَ ، فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : مَا أَحْسَنَهَا عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، يَشُوبُ بَيَاضُكَ سَوَادَهَا ، وَيَشُوبُ سَوَادُهَا بَيَاضَكَ ، فَبَانَ مِنْهَا رِيحٌ ، فَأَلْقَاهَا ، وَكَانَ يُعْجِبُهُ الرِّيحُ الطَّيِّبَةُ " .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) wore a black cloak, so Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! How beautiful this looks on you. Your fair complexion stands out with its blackness, and its blackness stands out with your fair complexion. Then you perceived an odor from that cloak, so the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) took it off. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) liked pure fragrance.
